My Life

This was originally posted in my myspace blog. I decided to copy and paste into here as well......

As of 2 months ago, I was on 7 different medications for various things. I didn't like the way that the doctor I was seeing tried to keep me doped up so I switched doctors. I'm now up for a medical board which pretty much means that I will probably be out of the navy within the next year due to all of my medical problems.

So they sent me to Pensacola Naval Hospital to the internal medicine and orthopedic departments.

The orthopedic surgeon asks me what the problem is. So I tell him, my neck, back, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, and ankles. (Yeah, I know. EVERYthing) He says to me, you don't have an orthopedic problem, I'm going to send you to a rheumatologist. So, in addition to my thyroid issues that they STILL can't seem to get under control, I also either have, rheumatoid artheritis (sp?), lupus, fibroid myalsia(sp?), or some other degenerative muscular skeletal condition. It scares the flying fuck out of me. He said, you definitely have a problem, we just don't know what it is yet. So I will be having more tests this week.

And as gung ho as I am about the military, I'm actually looking forward to getting out and being a wife and mother. I can't wait to have another baby, providing my body is going to be capable of that. I can't wait to stay home with my children, playing with them, being able to take care of them when they are sick and not having to worry about trying to get off work to do it.

Even with all the medical shit that is going on, the future is bright and sunny. It won't be easy, but I have a wonderful, loving, supportive man who gives me unconditional love. makes me laugh, and is there for me no matter what. And my kids love him as well. I will have my kids back by the end of the school year and I can get on with my LIFE.

The Navy has had my life and my children's lives for almost 12 years. I have given so much of my time and energy. I have sacrificed so much. It's time to take that back and give my children what they have deserved; A mommy that is there who can nurture them and be what they need.

I can't wait.
